Alana is a Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional Medicine) and has a special interest in providing personalised diet and lifestyle recommendations to improve the mood, mental health, cognitive function, emotional regulation and energy of her clients.

Alana’s approach to health explores your diet, emotional state, biochemical functioning and lifestyle. She understands that some of us can’t always enjoy a healthy home cooked meal – as we may be too busy, have food challenges to overcome or be confused about what ‘healthy’ actually means – so she is practical about working with you to develop a personalised dietary approach that suits your health needs, genetics, lifestyle and budget.

Alana is particularly fascinated by the relationship between our gut and brain and enjoys providing nutritional recommendations to help support the management of:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Concentration
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Insomnia
  • Fatigue
  • Stress
  • Low mood.

Alana is always interested in asking ‘why’ to help you understand the underlying drivers contributing to your health concerns. She is able help you with functional testing to further investigate the presence of digestive or health conditions that may be contributing to low mood and mental health such as food intolerance and/or allergy, gluten and wheat sensitivity, comprehensive stool analysis, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), blood, hormone, genetic testing and many more.

When not practicing as a nutritionist, you will find Alana enjoying the simple life by spending quality time with her family and friends, getting outside for her daily dose of vitamin D, making a mess in the kitchen and trying to escape her two children to listen to live music.

Alana is available for bookings on Wednesdays and Fridays. To book your appointment contact us on 38907033 or
